Worthly - Know what it’s worth Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Worthly - Know what it’s worth mobile application (“the app”) and related backend services hosted at https://worthly-server-k4dpq5lejq-uc.a.run.app.

The app helps sellers photograph items, generate listing drafts with AI, and publish to eBay. “We” and “us” refer to the operator of the app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Your account. You sign in with Google or email and password. We store your Firebase user id, email, display name, and hashed app session tokens. Analysis credits live on your account and follow you across devices.
• eBay connection. You may link one or more eBay seller accounts. We receive identifiers such as your eBay user id and username, and OAuth tokens needed to act on your behalf (list, update, and end listings). Refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. List and publish use the eBay account you mark as active.
• Photos & listing content. Images you capture or select, plus titles, descriptions, prices, category/aspects, shipping details, and other draft fields you create in the app.
• Location. With your permission, approximate or precise location may be used for ship-from / regional pricing context. You can deny location permission; some publish flows may ask you to enter a postal code instead.
• Device & session data. App session tokens on your device, basic diagnostics (e.g. request logs, error messages), and technical metadata needed to operate the service.
• Purchases. If you buy analysis credits, purchase processing is handled by Google Play / Apple and (when enabled) RevenueCat. We store credit balances on your account and purchase identifiers needed to fulfill credits—not your full payment card number.

2. How we use information

• To analyze item photos and generate listing drafts and pricing guidance (via AI providers such as OpenAI).
• To upload listing images to our storage so eBay can fetch them when you publish.
• To authenticate you, keep you signed in across devices, and call eBay APIs you authorize for a linked seller account.
• To maintain your credit balance and prevent abuse.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
• To comply with law and with platform requirements (including eBay marketplace account-deletion notifications).

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to provide the service:

• eBay — listing content and account actions you initiate.
• Cloud & AI providers — e.g. Google Cloud (hosting, storage) and OpenAI (image/text analysis). These processors act on our instructions.
• App stores / RevenueCat — to validate in-app purchases when billing is enabled.
• Legal / safety — when required by law or to protect users and the service.

4. Data retention

We retain your account, linked eBay credentials, and draft/listing-related data while your account remains open and as needed to operate the service. Listing images may remain in storage while associated with active or recently published listings. When you delete your account (see Delete account) we delete the user record, linked sellers, sessions, and credits. When eBay notifies us of marketplace account deletion we unlink that eBay seller only — your account and credits remain until you delete them.

5. Your choices

• Sign out of the app to revoke this device’s session.
• Unlink an eBay seller in Account without deleting your credits.
• Delete your account in the app (Account → Delete Worthly account) or follow the account deletion instructions. Credits are deleted with the account.
• Revoke the app’s access in your eBay account settings.
• Deny or revoke device permissions (camera, photos, location) in system settings.
• eBay-initiated marketplace account deletion is also honored.

6. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), encrypted storage of eBay refresh tokens, and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. International processing

We may process information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. If you use the app from another region, you understand your information may be transferred to those locations.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
